Not So Pretty…

It was a mild balmy cloudy drippy foggy sloppy and not so pretty December Day.

There are folks determined to ride their sleds – although how much fun can it be in these conditions?

Sure hope the ‘several inches’ of snow they are talking about for the new year is a reality.

Its past time for Snow Season to begin!!!!

Wispy Snowflakes

It was a fun walk this afternoon – in the SNOW!

Its been a light wispy snow on/off today, not really amounting to much but just seeing it brightens our spirits. Gizzy made several dog snow angels that’s why her coat is covered in snow, and she is not camera friendly. Always looking away from the camera.

This is the trail today. Some snow on it.

You can see the dirt, and stones after a sled went by;

There they go… slowly, bumping and scraping along.

This upcoming week shows more chances for snow, so … we are hoping to be seeing our snow friends soon.

I love Christmas!!! and presents. It was so fun unwrapping, and I am good at it. Opened mine and Gizzies presents.

Conspiracy

Really?

Yeah, Really!!! People, desperate people have been out riding. .. there is barely two inches and of course after a few rides it is wet dirt/mud.

I was surprised when we took our walk, by how many tracks there were on the trail. .. more than just a few riders. Must be locals, because I haven’t seen any traielrs with rigs. ..

Its very disheartening to keep telling callers… ‘no, not enough snow to ride’. Sure hoping things turn around with the New Year

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve is a special sweet day and evening. Almost magical (even when you don’t believe in Santa Claus). .the mystery of God’s love that brought his Son for us. The Love of God that surrounds us.

Christmas is truly about love and the Love of God that gave us His Son showing us the true essence of love. Even when we are separated from loved ones miles away on Christmas day, the magic is feeling together, knowing that your love is connected thru the miles. Christmas is a special blessing when we can actually share it with our loved ones.

My heart and prayer today is that for those who have lost a a loved one and are now feeling the pain and ache of wanting them here with them. I wish for them the comfort of knowing that love never ends. I pray that they will feel the spirit of that person and KNOW beyond a shadow of a doubt that they will not be separated forever. One day they will truly be together again, and even today their loved one is surrounding them and wanting to comfort them.

Love … a word that is used so casually many times is truly the reason for our being.

Please say a prayer today, tonight, tomorrow for anyone you know who is missing the Christmas’ when they were together. Linda and Merrill for their daughter Angie, Kathy C. who just buried her father a week ago, for Linda’s family who is celebrating their second Christmas without her, and dear to me my cousin Cindy.

I love each one of you, and want you to know I am remembering your loved ones in heaven.

For those of you who have not had to live a holiday yet without a special someone cherish each and every moment you have together here on this earth.

Santa

Santa Came!!!!I was a good boy, and guess Gizzy was a good girl. So much fun unwrapping presents.. I helped with Gizzys and Ann/Mikes.

Santa came early here so he won’t have as many homes to deliver tomorrow night.

We all got nice gifts. I got a new fabric frisbee (angry bird) and a new skunk! .. Gizzy got a flash pink coat and a chipmunk. Thank You Thank You Santa.

More Christmas fun when we go visit the kids. Can’t wait.
